Screen-Printing Certificate Program
The Certificate in Screen-Printing
The Certificate in Screen-Printing program is a certificate program is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in the fields of screen-printing or the graphic arts. This is a semester-long course whereby students will master the entire process of screen-printing, from custom designing, to screen development, to screen-printing complex, multi-colored designs.
The program consists of three four-credit courses, each of which contains classroom instruction as well as hands-on training. The hand-on components of the program are conducted alongside a professional who will ensure the safety and proper training of the student. Students will assist in the entire screen-printing process under professional supervision in the context of a real screen-printing business and will work on actual customer orders and products. The screen-printing certificate program thus uniquely gives the student a truly-well-rounded and real-world screen-printing and career experience.
Upon completion of the screen-printing certificate program, the student will be ready to pursue a career in screen-printing, or to continue his/her education in the graphic arts. They will be given a formal certificate recognizing their completion of the program which can be presented to potential employers as evidence of their training and education.
Besides gaining a valuable educational experience, students of the screen-printing certificate program will be paid for that portion of the hands-on component which is fused with our internship program. This program, therefore, provides students the added benefit of graduating with money in their pocket!

SCPR 101
This is an introductory screen-printing course which gives an introduction to the screen-printing process, including ink types, artwork and films, measurement and alignment, screen development, flash and final curing, heat pressing, and screen-printing of basic designs.

This is an intermediate screen-printing course which covers more advanced topics than the introductory course, including screen mesh selection, exposure calculation, emulsion application and removal, and screen-printing of multi-colored designs.

This is an advanced screen-printing course which goes over ink mixing, thinning, and additives. Students will also learn how to screen-print complex designs. This course ends with a final practical exam which must be passed to earn the program certificate.
Embroidery Certificate Program
The Certificate in Embroidery
The Certificate in Embroidery program is a certificate program is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in the fields of embroidery or the graphic arts. This is a semester-long course whereby students will master the entire process of embroidery, from hooping, to threading, to using the Pulse Software system.
The program consists of three four-credit courses, each of which contains classroom instruction as well as hands-on training. The hand-on components of the program are conducted alongside a professional who will ensure the safety and proper training of the student. Students will assist in the entire embroidery process under professional supervision in the context of a real embroidery business and will work on actual customer orders and products. The embroidery certificate program thus uniquely gives the student a truly-well-rounded and real-world embroidery and career experience.

This is an introductory embroidery course which introduces basic topics such as clothing types, backing types, needle sizes, stitching types, thread types, and basic designs. The course also goes over threading, bobbin installation, and T-shirt hooping.

This is an intermediate embroidery course covering more advanced topics such as Pulse Software introduction, design layout, and trimming. Students will also learn to hoop, frame, and run hat designs.

This is an advanced embroidery course which goes over advanced embroidery techniques., and students will embroider a variety of apparel. This course ends with a final practical exam which must be passed to earn the program certificate.
Business Administration Certificate Program
The Certificate in Business Administration
The Certificate in Business Administration program is a certificate program is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in entrepreneurship or business administration. This is a semester-long course whereby students will be given opportunities to assist in data entry, marketing, customer relations, and so much more.
The program consists of multiple courses, each of which contains classroom instruction as well as hands-on training. Students will work alongside a business professional and will develop valuable skills and education while they follow business procedures in a real business setting, working with real customers and customer products. The business administration certificate program thus uniquely gives the student a truly-well-rounded and real-world embroidery and career experience.
